Why We Play

Youth Education
CTP sponsors a youth orchestra comprised of over 70 young musicians from across the Austin-Round Rock metro. The YO nurtures these young musicians through the discipline of classical music study and the thrill of performing live. As they learn, grow, and take the stage, these student musicians form deep connections with one another and with the community as they share their music with their central Texas audience.

Professional Performances

Our concerts bring the world‘s greatest music to Central Texas, performed by musicians of exceptional caliber. They pour their artistry, training, and heart into every note. Their commitment to excellence allows our audiences to experience orchestral music at a level typically found only in major metropolitan centers.

Community Outreach

CTP actively seeks partnerships with local businesses, schools, other nonprofits, and public venues to ensure that the language of music is both shared with and spoken by everyone in our region. Through these collaborations, we bring music into the spaces where people live, learn, and gather. CTP believes strengthening the cultural fabric of our community is one of our highest and best purposes.
